General Fee Policy

FEES

Therapy services are provided at the fee rate of $100 for each therapy hour (50 minutes).  Fees for report writing and phone calls (longer than 10 minutes) are charged at the same rate. Meetings outside the office or testimony in court are billed at $125 per hour (including travel time and preparation time).  Please ask me for more information if you will need these services.  

The above fee structure applies to all clients whether they pay privately or their insurance is billed.

I am not paneled with insurance carriers, so if you are reimbursed, it will be at an “out of network” rate. You can contact your insurance company to determine this rate. Please be aware that due to concerns regarding confidentiality and other possible intrusions into the care that I provide, I will not work with managed care. This means that I will not provide insurance or managed care companies with treatment plans, summaries of clinical information, or notes. I will not participate in telephone reviews of information they may request (see insurance section). Some insurance companies may insist on this to justify their payment. If you have concerns about this, please discuss this with me.

Payment is expected at the time services are rendered, unless payment arrangements are made in advance.  If you would like me to submit a claim to your insurance company, please know that payment is expected at the time of service. Once the insurance company has responded to the claim submitted, they will reimburse you directly.

MISSED APPOINTMENTS

If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, to avoid being charged, please call in advance, giving 24 hours notice. If you cancel with less than 24-hours notice, you will be billed at full fee ($100). If weather or illness prevents you from attending, a phone session will be offered (if possible).

At times, I have more clients than I have appointment times. Failing to give me 24 hours notice prevents me from offering the time to someone else who could use the slot.
